I hail from the south and love Southern Belles, BBQ, and
College Football. These are staples of
the culture in which I was raised, as is the music I love. Being brought up in cradle of the Blues and
where many of the great rock bands come from, it’s no wonder that I love music
so much.
I cut my teeth on my Mom’s old 45’s from the 50’s and from
there it grew into a passion. I am a
Dead Head, but I love so much rock & roll it’s hard to nail down one band
as my favorite. I love Jazz,
particularly stuff on the Blue Note & Impulse Labels pre-1975, and I view
Charles Mingus as the MAN. However, I
listen to everything and grew up listening too much of the music featured on
94-5 The Drive.
I also love sports and have been a football coach on the
High School, College, and Semi-Pro Levels.
I spent fall of 2007 on the staff at MSJ. College sports are even bigger than the Pro’s
in the South. I attended the University
of Alabama and love my Crimson
Tide!!!
I have been a Red Sox fan since the `75 Series; you know the
Carlton Fisk homerun in the 6th game. Bingo, I became one of those sad wait till
next year folks until 2004, when all the suddenly the world seemed like a
better place. 2007 didn’t hurt either.
I came to Vermont
in October of 2006. I feel that most
Vermonter’s have their heads in the right place, and that is a big factor in
why I like Vermont. The people here are great and that makes all
the difference when it comes to one’s environment. Here’s to more great years in the Green
Mountain State!!!
